..tHe hOliDayS..

Well, since I managed to get sick over christmas break, it took me this long to post about our short lived vacation. Cody and I finished up school December 18th, phew! It was a rough sememester but we lived. I had no work for those 2 weeks between fall and spring semesters so I had great plans to accomplish many things.. Only like 1/2 of them worked out. I got food poisoning on Christmas Eve, at 2am. Fun. I was sick and slept most of Christmas day. It took me a good two days to bounce back from that one. Then I managed to get a cold, which went away but is now reappearing for round two.. yay. I thought I would share some photos of our break!

..Christmas Eve we went to Chili's for dinner, that wasn't the plan it was to go to golden corral but they closed early bummer for us, so here we are. And this isn't the place that made me sick, promise..

We had a good new years. Cody worked both new years eve and new years day morning, so he was pretty pooped and resorted to various naps. We started off by making yummy cheesesteak sandwiches. YUM!! Afterwards we watched Kungfu Panda. Great movie. Then started the family olympics that do happen every new years eve. My parents started them years back to keep us out of trouble and entertained for a few hours while we waited for midnight to roll around. They aren't anything spectacular but we love them and can't wait for them each year. This year we had-- paper airplane races, skeeball (in pots and pans), balloon races, windup car races, windup creature races, leapfrog race, and ended by playing farkle (a way fun dice game.. I lost but it was still fun). After the festivities we watched the final 10 minutes of Dick Clark's countdown and then shared new years kisses and a toast to a good year (with sparkling cider.. we are good promise!). After all this we went outside to shoot off bottle rockets and fireworks, as well as airhorns and kazoos. It was a fun night!!

We started up school again on the 6th, which is going to be another busy one but that is alright. I did finally find out though that I will be graduating this summer with my bachelors!! YAY!! So I will walk in the graduation ceremony in April and get my diploma in June. I am pretty excited! Cody still has a year left but is shooting for December of this year, if not then spring of the following. It should be great. Tyke is doing well, the accutane is finally starting to show signs of working. It was expected to take 6-8 weeks for results and we just crossed the 8 week mark. The lumps are starting to fade slowly and the fur is returning which is always good. We are grateful for that blessing, and all the little ones we get with him even if they are just small little ones.

Well I hope to blog more often, and plan on it but we will see how life goes. But we hope you all are having a great new year and that this year is full of happiness and blessings for all of you!
