.. cruise assistance anyone? ..

alright so as you read before, or maybe you didn't.. Cody and I decided to go on a cruise to the South Caribbean with my brother m* and his wife e* and some friends t* & f*. It is going to rock, but here is the issues.

a. I have never been on a cruise. so what do you pack or expect on these things?
2. what on earth do i do at each port, i want to explore but i don't want to waste time either.
c. how much extra cash should you have on hand for ports and things?

so if you have any advice what so ever I would love it! We are leaving out of San Juan Puerto Rico on August 7th, and we have like a day here before the ship leaves to play so I added it in. Here is the cruise schedule, so just leave a comment if you have an idea.

San Juan, Puerto Rico
St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
Barbados
St. Lucia, West Indies
St. Kitts, West Indies
St. Maarten, Netherlands

Thanks!!

So So So excited. Less than a month away. Here is my packing tips: One skirt to wear for nicer nights and just 2 or so shirts to go with it for the dinners. A bunch of swimsuits & cover-ups/shorts/tanks. Only a few real outfits because most ports you get wet or go to beach!

My biggest advice is DO NOT book excursions through the cruises. They mark them up substantially (sometimes 200%), so I would google search your ports and look for companies that do fun excursions. Sometimes just relaxing at the beach with a pina colada is good for a day, but another day you may want to rent scooters or go snorkeling. Don't feel like you have to book an event at each port. Sometimes you'll arrive at port and there will be a company there waiting for you and happy to take your money :)
